It was all out war!

It has been raining and raining and raining, but that did not stop the kids from having fun outside. They decided that although the trampoline was fun in the rain it would be even greater wearing war paint. So they found their sidewalk chalk and got to decorating their entire bodies. While it was a blast and they looked GREAT, they were, unfortunately red after the tiresome scrubbing job that was needed afterward.

The Changes

This summer a lot of things have happened of which Steve would be so proud. The biggest accomplishment that he, unfortunately, missed out on was them being able to ride their bikes all by themselves. Victoria was a bit scared and apprehensive at first because she is pretty much "phobic" of any kind of pain, but she learned and took off. Then after working and working with Nicolas with no site of accomplishment in site I realized that his seat was too high and so he was unable to touch the ground. So I lowered his bike and he took off...yeah! Madison has the ultimate best bike. She has what is called the "balance bike". It is where she learns to balance before learning to peddle. She loves it and rides sooooo fast. The are all doing great and I am sure that daddy is going to be soooo proud when he returns...4 more weeks by the way!

The Children's First Baptism

I wonder how young John was when he first started his ministry of baptism...do you think that 6 is too young? Well, Victoria does not think so. I guess the female part does not bother her either. So, we were at our friends home for a baby shower and they had a pool in the back yard. All the sudden another mother and I hear, ..."and raised to walk in new life..." We were not sure but then we looked in the pool only to see my daughter getting dunked. Then they all had their turns. It was hilarious. I don't think that God would have had a problem with the fact that our children were pretending in that manner at all...actually I think that he would love the fact that they know what it is and at least got the "walking in new life" down. Isn't that the greatest part? Well, I thought that I would share some of those photos with you. Enjoy.

Something New

Well, this is my first time EVER trying to blog the life of the Cubas family but here goes a genuine effort. Of course, I should have been doing this all summer so that Steve could have really seen and been a part of our lives as things happened and the children changed. Sorry Steve. I am a little behind in the technology world. I will get better.
I learned about creating my own blog when I had surgery this past week and stayed with a good friend of mine, "hello Whitney and thanks!" I was overwhelmed by all the choices but I will get better with this whole idea over time and with practice.
